My doctor put me on lamictal 10 days ago. He started me off on a lose dose because of the potential side effects. I'm taking 25mg twice per day.
I noticed last Saturday pimples on my face for the first time in 20 years. As I continue taking lamictal these pimples are continuing to break out.
I talked to my doctor today and he said this is not a lamictal side effect?
Has anyone else gotten pimples from lamictal?

I got acne due to lamictal. Although i always did have adult acne lamictal exacerbated it. I would give it a try because mine cleared up. Ive been on lamictal for 10 weeks and is kicking it.
this is the best ive felt in my life. I won't give it up for a few pimples. I also got a rash on my thighs but i used hydrocortisone cream and took benydryl at night and lower my dose for a couple days and then titrated back to where I was. Not all rashes:angel: that get with lamictal are deadly.If you start getting them on your face, mouth, nose and eyes stop it. I am not a dr. so don't take my advice. All i know is that a little rash and a couple pimples are worth my life again. Thanks GSK
