I just need to vent a bit.
I'm currently working from home 20 hours a week. My boss cut my hours from 40 to 20 since I couldn't make to work on time. Jezz - its sort of hard to do that when your burnt out after working there for over 5 years and my bipolar got in the way. Tons of problems in those years. I wasn't told I was bipolar until August of 2006 - Ya un-medicated for several years!! That was a lot of fun!!
So needlessly to say I " was" on top my game and slowly got demoted to where I'm at now. So my self esteem is low at times when I think about - well I try not to think about it, but its hard not to. They tried to push me out - but I wouldn't let them.
But now in this job market, its really hard to find a job. I have to start over. I'm barely getting by. I think back and I ask myself - what happen? I was doing good a few years ago? then the bottom fell out. But one thing I do realized is, that my current job, there is NO place to grow. Tons of rules.
I think I will be happy once I free myself away from this company.......

Hey crazi, it's alright to vent! :) Sometimes we just need a change of scenery. It is very common for people to change jobs and very uncommon for someone to stay in one career/place for their entire life. Funny how that works, huh? Well I wish you all the luck in the world in finding a new job. It does sound like you are burnt out where you are now.

LLAMA,
Thanks for the words of hope!!
I have in the same line of work for over 12 years!! I'm really burnt out. I want to do something 360 from what I have been doing. I complete change. My brain needs it in a bad way!! ;)

Is there anyway you couuld work for a temp agency until you find something else you like? Maybe try out a few different things for a while?

I did sign up for a temp agency and even with them, I didnt get any calls for any jobs. Its that bad out there! I live in South Florida. It seem where I live its hardest hit with the recession, because we had the biggest housing market - then - bye bye it went! And so did the jobs.....
I did have a interview on Tuesday. I wont know until Friday if I have the job or not. ( fingers crossed )

Well I'll definitely be sending good thoughts you're way that something good will come of your job interview! Hang in there and don't give up, you'll find something soon. I know it's not easy to have a positive attitude, believe me I know, but just take it each day as it comes, and don't try to dwell to far into the future.
