just a quickie, does anyone else get this...
i use and repair pc s daily , every single day i will use tft monitors.
lately i have been getting these strange visual wavey/ wobbly parts in my field of vision , not in the central vision , just surrounding to the right a little and left , i have been to the opticians and mentioned this , they checked my eyes and dont seem to be too worried, but i was just wondering if anyone else has had these strange visuals. also when i go to bed if i am quite tired i get strange flashing lights when i close my eyes

Sounds like it could be optical migraine (migraine visual effects without the headache). It usually affects people who also suffer from true migraine (but not necessarily). NSAIDs such as ibuprofen are generally quite effective at reducing the visual disturbances, so long as a dose is taken immediately at the start of the flashing lights.
There is evidence to suggest that visual migraine and full migraine can be triggered by constant work with PC screens but not specifically TFT screens.

Thanks for the reply, it seems to be that if i stare at any busy patterns or anything like window blinds they seem to wobble, can be quite disturbing.
so i dont think these strange visuals are just related to tft / monitor use.
however they seem to be more noticeable when using monitors.
anyone else get these strange vision problems? i also have been getting loads of " floaters" recently. has anyone else had these ?
