View Full Version : Apple Cider Vinegar?

So I read about the apple cider vinegar as an option to take before meals to help counteract the spikes from carbs. Then I see others on here have been using some form of this in pills.

Are pills supposed to be better than the real deal?

Is there any downside to using this remedy? I have not been officially dx'd yet but had one 101 on fasting glucose and am seeing a spike here and there 2 hrs after some meals with moderate carbs resting at 145 or 150.

I tried both the pills and drinking vinegar. both seems to make a difference for a while. For me it's almost like if I try it 3 days it works, it stops working, so I stop for a few days, start again and it starts working again for 3 days...

I have been using more vinegar with acetic acid in my salads and a little less dressing....can't hurt
