for the people that have ear pain associated with TMJ disorders can you please describe what it is like I am trying to determine if the ear pain I have can possibly be related to a TMJ problem that I am convinced that I have THANK YOU!!!!!

I have stabbing pains and a sharp ache all around my ears and I also have pain just inside my ear. I sued to think my ears were infected a lot when they actually weren't. I also get "stuffy" ears, my hearing will be fine but they just feel wierd, almost like they have cotton inside. Hope this helps, my primary TMJ symptom is ear pain as well.

can ear pain caused by TMJ be only on one side or does it uauallt effect both sides???

When I get ear pain, it's only on the left side. Laying on the heatpad helps as well as Acupuncture and muscle relaxers when needed.
