Hey everyone. I contacted the ALZ asso. They are going to see if there is a Elder law attorny that will help me probono or for as cheep as possable. I dont have the funds to go to a attorny other wise. The local chapter in MN is also going to call me with info about where I can get my mom into. The lady that I talked to at the main chapter(800 number) told me that it was a good thing that I didnt just go to social services with the letter from the doctor. It could have been a disaster. Thats all I need more problems.

They asked me what kind of support I have. I dont have much, my hubbie(ha, he acts like this is a joke), and a friend. Thats all. Opps I forgot I also have this board.
They think its great that this is out there for all of us.

TAKE CARE EVERYONE AND GIVE YOURSELF A HUG
we all need it

Craftlady,
I am glad that you got in touch with them. I feel like I am helping you personally. When Momma died, all of her memorials were sent to the Minnesota chapter of the Alzheimer's association. What a small world we live in, huh? I hope that you get the support from them that you need. I know that they check out the facilities in Minnesota, so that is a good start. Hang in there..it will get better...
