My 1 month old has her days and nights backwards. Any suggestions of how to help? I try waking her up during the day but she quickly falls back asleep. I am exhausted and need my sleep. I also have a 19 month old so napping during the day is not an option. Thanks

I have a one month also. She was confused from day one. We asked her dr about it and he said to make sure to wake her every 2 hours and make her eat during the daytime and eventually she would come around. Finally she has. I know it's hard to wake a sleeping newborn. Easier said than done. We tickled her feet and put a cold diaper wipe on her back to keep her awake and eating. Sounds mean, but you have to do what you have to do to be sane in order to be a good mom in the end. Good luck!

We also had this problem many years ago. There is a trick to it. You need to do it over a week or two. You bring her times forward or backward what ever is the closest. You start by waking her an hour earlier, feeding her an hour earlier, bathing her an hour earlier, you do it by hours and yes it does take a while to go back 12 hours. The next day you can go another hour or half and you just have to keep persevering but it does pay off and then you can get some normal sleep.
