View Full Version : Is there a chance I was exposed?

On the last day of March I was fooling around with a girl I know. She has had un protected sex with one guy who has been with a lot of girls. She has never been tested. The last time she saw him was in November or December of last year. When she and I fooled around there was no sexual intercourse or oral sex, but I did finger her several times. I had an opening of skin (no blood coming from it, and no scab formed in the following days, so I don't know if that means it WAS NOT an open cut) on one of the fingers I used. Like I said, no blood or scab, it was just like peeled skin. The next day I absolutely freaked out thinking I might have caught HIV from her, if she even has it. It's been a long 4 weeks just thinking about it and she won't get tested until may 12 when she goes to HER doctor. Naturally, I've been worrying myself over it.

I have not seen one website anywhere that reports any cases of anyone catching HIV by fingering someone. I have even seen some sites where Doctors say that even if you had an open bleeding cut, you couldn't get it that way.

So based on what I've told you, what are the chances that I could get it from her if she were to have it? Naturally every little pain or anything and I'm running to the computer and looking up symptoms and diagnosing myself, which I know isn't a good thing to do. I even chatted with a counselor from a STD website who said I couldn't get it that way. Another confirmation/sound advice/facts from you guys would be great. Thanks!
