I want to ask my Doctor for some tests to check out my ovaries...
I have had a lot of fertility treatment, and have suffered last 15yrs with cystitis type episodes. Lately ive had bouts of diarroreah, one which wAS food poisoning, the last bout wasnt any bugs but i still had it for a week!!

Today i have a really dull ache across the lower stomach, it is painful.

I want to have some tests done on my ovaries, but without trying to tell the doctor his/her job i want specific tests to test if i could have ovarian cancer.

What should i be asking for first? Thanks.

I am going to the gyno. Monday 4/28, as I am having "issues" with an ovary.
I plan on asking him to do a CA125 test (blood test.) When you go, most certainly you'll have a pap test or at least an internal exam.

I specified on the phone when I made the appt. that I want an ultrasound of my ovaries. I had a hysterectomy in 2005 but the ovaries were left behind. I'm wishing they were gone now because the pain? It's crazy.

Be sure to tell your doc everything you're experiencing...any bloating, pelvic pain, weight gain or loss, lower back pain, fatigue, problems peeing and such...

Ovarian cancer's symptoms can be hard to identify sometimes, so it's best to cover all your bases and TELL ALL!

Worrybucket, dogmom has given you some good advice. The only thing I can think for you to ask is for an ultrasound of your abdomen.
