Mine are partial seizures, so I am conscious when they happen, but they advance to grand mal if I don't stay immobile. It took me only about half a dozen times of dropping and resulting injuries to realize what was going on.

Unfortunately, I had to diagnose myself because the doctors were no help prior to my self-diagnosis.

I get simple-partial seizures, so I mostly get seizures on the right side of my body- usually starting in my leg, and sometimes spreading to the whole right side. They also can last for hours, and all of my neurologists seemed to have a strange reaction when I've said that. Hopefully they'll get to witness this when I go for my VEEG in July.

Tripp has every time he NAPS or just falls asleep in a chair....CPS...He will turn his head to the left for less than 10 seconds and fiddle with his clothes(sometimes) always says "I'm okay" over and over...sometimes he will get up and walk around.

He has GMS sometimes(when stressed from the day). I had my 3 granddaughters last weekend and it was noisy and very stressful for him...he did not sleep well on Friday night and stressful all day Sat.....SATurday night a GMS...but he woke up at regular time and was fine the rest of the day.

He is now on Lyrica and Depakote.

I have simple partial, complex partial and grand mal seizures. Haven't had the grand mals in years though, but I guess I still have to mention them, especially since my EEG indicated that my partials are secondarily generalized (going into grand mals). I've NEVER had a normal EEG either - it's amazing I was able to go off seizure meds for 7 years before the seizures returned. Looks like I'll be on them for life now. Lesson learned the hard way.

I have simple and complex partials w/secondarily generalized seizures. And intractable epilepsy, according to the chart I snuck a peak at when I was recently in the hopital for a VEEG.

Weeeeee! What fun.
