View Full Version : spasms in toes

the last few years I have been getting frequent spells of pain and spasms in my toes and feet. I never really knew what was happening as I usually had socks and shoes on and was usually driving or at work when it happened. finally one day when it happened, I took my socks off to see what my foot was doing, and it was really freaky looking. my toes go into this spasm and they get all crunched up together, and I can't move them at the time. It will only last for a few minutes, then I am fine, so I have never mentioned it to a dr. One day my daughter was describing to me what her feet are doing, and I couldn't believe it, I told her the same thing happens to my feet, then my other daughter tells me it happens to her as well. I have never let anyone see my feet when this is happening. So, perhaps this is inherited since both my daughters also have the condition. But, what I want to know is, has anybody else heard of this, and if so, what is causing it, and is there a diagnosis for it, or a name for the condition? I am really curious as to what this is.

Sounds like a nerve issue....maybe check with a neurologist who can do nerve testing on it.
