Is it worth temping if I do not have a period? I have only had one period in six months....so is there a point to temping? Will I be able to tell if I ovulate or not? Do you need a period to ovulate?:confused::confused:So confused....

I don't know about temping without an AF but I just wanted to let you know what happened with me with my DS. I was 16 and started depo shot stopped when I was almost 18 during this time I never had AF normal for the shot. I went to the dr for a pap the day after my 19th b-day still no AF since 16 years old. I found out that day that I was pregnant 3 years with no AF not even spotting.
What did the dr. say about on one af in 6 months.
On the temping it wouldn't hurt to do it atleast you would be in the habit when af does arrive. I know when I start temping getting in the habit of waking up at the same time everyday was kinda hard to get use to and really hard on the days I could sleep in.
Good luck

The doctor told me to just give it some more time, due to the kind of pill I was on. I am assuming that no AF is a common effect of the particular BCP I was on. I have my full physical in about two months, so if there is no change, I am going to see what the doctor can do for me.

I'm just not sure if temping is worth it for me right now? Why does TTC have to be so hard!!:(

why whats in the bc that you took, would make this happen?? i thought once you went off, the effects are reversed. were you periods normal before bc?

I'm not sure. But when I told my doc what kind I was on, he led me to believe that it was a common thing. He said to just give it some more time, and everything should be back to normal.

From what I can remember, my periods were always on time. I was on the pill for quite a few years, but I know I had a period every month before I went on the pill.

I don't really know what to do now.

Good luck to you Bunny! And yes it is very frustrating. I am kind of at a stand-still right now. I'm in-between doctors, and appointments so there is not much I can do right now.

The waiting sucks.

are you ttc now, or waiting until your cycle is regular? i decided to stop the pill, and just start trying. i know women that went off the pill for a while before ttc, and they said the periods are not friendly, nothing like periods while on the pill, i didn't want to deal with that.

We are trying, just not being crazy about it. We know our chances are not good right now, so we are mostly having fun with it. After my next doc appointment, and AF we will take things a little more seriously!!;)

We were hoping to concieve by October of '08, so I went off the pill October of '07. But, the way things are going now, I'm just hoping to concieve...period!
