I was bitten by something on the right calf a couple of day ago (not sure what). However, I am in terrible pain. There is a huge swollen red bump, and it's not really itchy but the pain is terrible, to the touch or if I press my leg to the back of a chair ect... Also, if I have been sitting for a while and get up to walk, it even hurts to walk. Any suggestions as too what I can do for now, (Benadryl ect....) I can't get into see my doctor until Monday! Thanks.

Did you explain to your doctor what the problem was? I have never heard of a doctor waiting to see a patient who is having that kind of reaction to a bug bite. I mean, it could make you sick and waiting several days may be pretty unhealthy for you. Maybe you can call in and ask to speak to the nurse and explain just how much pain you're in. I wouldn't wait through the weekend. If your doctor won't see you can you go to the ER?

I agree with bleigh, I would go to the ER.....

I had a friend who was bitten by a spider and waited and it became infected and partially necrotic There was outpatient surgery involved and several days of painful recovery. I'd RUN to the ER.
