Has anyone here had or heard of just having the stone removed and not the entire gallbladder? Has anyone here had their gallbladder removed and now has NO problems? My stone is large....3.3cm. I had one attack about 6 weeks ago and since have been on a vegan diet with natural supplements. I was fine for 4 weeks and now for the past 2 weeks I have had a slight pain off and on daily and not after food. I know I should just have the surgery but I want to keep my gallbladder if I can and make diet changes. Any advise? Thanks!

No, they do not remove only the stone. You are certainly welcome to try and gut this out but do keep in mind that the stone can damage the gallbladder and cause infection. This could result in a rupture - which might be fatal. I'm not trying to scare you but gallstones are serious.
