Hi,
Does anyone know anything about Viraderm, H-Balm, Viramedix or H-Away? These products claim that it can avoid outbreaks forever.... Can this be true? Has anyone tried any of these? Does anyone know any information about how valid these claims are? I would appreciate any information.

There is no cure for herpes ,the only thing medications can do is suppress the virus or speed up the healing of a current ob.Herpes lies dorment inside the nerves of the body(at the site of the ob). At least with herpes of the eye it does, it lives in the 5th nerve in the face. to completely distroy the virus would mean killing the nerves they have infected .which explains why doctors have yet to find a cure. if there was a legal drug available to cure it, it would be headline news

The problem with claims about any herpes remedy is that everyone's system is different and nothing works consistently for everyone. I don't think I have heard anyone directly say they've tried those products or what their results were, but some things do work for some people some of the time.
I'd be careful about assuming that you'll never get an OB, even if that seems to be the case for a while. Your pattern of OBs can change as your body and life circumstances change over time. And even if you're not getting OBs, it doesn't necessarily mean the virus won't still become active and cause asymptomatic viral shedding (making a partner vulnerable to getting it from you).
But hey, just about anything is probably worth a try. If you can afford to spend the money, even if it turns out not to work for you, you might want to give them a try. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif If you decide to try any of these, let us know how you make out with them.
