Good Morning everyone,
I have a question about Copaxone and travel. I do my injection in the
morning, around 6 a.m. AST. I am going on an Alaska cruise, this will
be my first long trip with this med and wondering what the best way is
to go through different time zones. I will call shared solutions when I
get to Boston, will be their for 3 days, but thought someone else would
have probably figured this out. I seem to remember someone saying to
me just make sure you have 12 hours between injections.
Thanks,
Pamela

Hi Pamela, call shared solutions and verify- but from everything Ive read, 12 hours minimum is what you should shoot for. If It were me, Id start with going with 24 hours in between and then working down (backwards) until I had the shot time at a time Im comfortable with giving it to myself....

Ive gone thru this with Rebif, and time zones- however, Rebif being given every other day, has never really been a problem for me. They have always told me make sure its a good 24 hours between shots for that one (and IM used to doing every 48 hours) so its a similar thing..

Have a great trip! My last vacation was in Mexico, and the way the heat bothers me, Ive been swearing my next vacation would be in Alaska! Sounds wonderful and Ive heard all good things about that cruise...have fun, relax, and enjoy! One day of taking your shots a few hours earlier or later wont kill you, but DO try to get on a schedule asap.

hugs
Nikki

Off topic, but another AST'er :)! Do people often joke and ask you if you live on a boat in the Atlantic? ;) I get that often!
