So I have had this eye problem for about 4 or 5 months now, on and off. I wear contacts and have been in the same kind for several years without a problem. My left eye gets EXTREMELY itchy during the day. My contact always feels uncomfortable and it gets foggy. I get these chunks of stringy, white goop that floats in my eye. I don't have any problems with the right eye.
After having these symptoms on and off for quite some time, I went to my eye doctor. She told me to use an eye drop called Zatador. It didn't work. So I went back and she flipped my eyelids inside out and determined I have something called chronic allergic conjunctivitis? She put me on a month-long steriod eye drop treatment where I couldn't wear my contacts or even make up! My eye started to feel better and when I went back for my follow-up appointment, she told me I was cured. Literally 2 days after I started wearing my contacts again, my eye started itching again and it's now UNBEARABLE!
Has anybody else had a similar problem?! And what's the deal with "allergic conjunctivitis"?
