History: I have been seeing my girlfriend for about 6 to 7 months now. We have sex and oral sex for about 5 months now. Before we started seeing each other she was in a 2.5 year relationship with her xboyfriend. So she isn't a "whore"(sorry about that term) or anything. A real sweet girl. She is on the "pill" but we do still use condoms.

Noticed: Ive noticed that the side of my shaft started to hirt like i spraned it or something. It had pain for about a week and started to feel tender to the touch in between the head and the shaft on the same side. I felt a lttle bump(small) where there was pain. and the area arownd it. It didn't turn into a blister or anything but It had a small scab that came from nothing. It looks nothing like herpe picture ive seen on the internet. We fool around for about 3 hours at a time about twice a week. And started using some type of flavored lub that I got on the internet. She wears rings(silver) and is pretty rouph on me. Could it be some type of irritation from that? Or could it be herpes? I went to Planed parenthood and the doctor didn't know what it was and had to bring another doctor in for a second opinion. They said they didn't know and to wait a few months.

Now it is just a small scab that looks like it will go away. They never blistered or pop or anything. Just a small bump under the skin, then a small scab.

Oh yeah, at the same time when I went to the Planed Parenthood the doctor said I have "JockItch" under my scrotum.

Thanks.. for reading.. Anybody have had this to them??

As I just said in another thread, herpes can look different for different people so it's hard to tell just from sight or description alone. There are a number of possibilities but it's probably best to start with the easiest to rule out.

If your gf is rough and you're wondering if it's causing you to get sore, ask her to go easier on you for a while and see if it makes a difference. That's not proof, since it could simply clear up on its own, but if she goes back to her usual style after that and it returns, then it's a good guess that's what's causing it.

I'd also suggest getting a blood test 12-16 weeks after the onset of the initial symptoms, if you're still concerned about herpes and haven't diagnosed it for sure as something else. If it's herpes and you just caught it, there's little point in spending money on the test before 12-16 weeks, since you wouldn't be able to trust a negative result...unless it's covered on your health plan. If it comes up again in a fresh sore, get your doc to do a swab culture on it ASAP, but be aware that false negative results are very common.

However, *she* could take a blood test now and it would probably produce a reliable result. That might be a good idea, so you both know what her health status is at this point. In the meantime, you two may want to keep the condom and also not engage in condom-less oral sex (on you) either.

You can use a condom for oral sex to prevent skin-to-skin contact with the affected area until you know what you're dealing with. Use a lube on your penis before you roll it on (adds sensitivity for you) and wash the spermicide off the condom (tastes terrible!). Use a fresh condom for intercourse after drying off any remaining lube.

Good luck!

Well my herpes was also just a small bump that did not burst, but it was herpes. So get a blood test and go to a male doctor (like a male gyno) i dont remember what its called and get the scab tested.

How was yours? yours was a small bump and a scab formed from that bump? Did you get a blood test? Mine went from pain to small bump to a little scab. Thats all.

Humm...
