I have an EEG on Monday, but I am certain I have temporal lobe epilepsy, and my doctor is certain also. I just went through 2 days of non stop "seizure" Hearing things that weren't there, having the buzzing feeling in my head, deja vu, anxiety over nothing, odd behavior, muscle spasms, and what not. I don't know if anybody here has had a non stop temporal lobe seizure for 2 days but I have got a ripping headache now and the back of my neck is killing me... Is this normal? The headache slowly came on as my seizure stopped and now i just want to rip my brain out from the pain. Any feedback would be much appreciated.

Have you seen your doc about this 2 day seizure? My daughter has left temporal lobe e. She has experienced the things you mention but not for as long as you have! I think you should contact your doc.. prolonged seizure should always be investigated l know you are not fully diagnosed yet but just go checked out. My daughter has the stomach epilepsy or migranes as some docs call them where she will have severe stomach pains which can last up to 3 days on and off reaching a painful peak and back down again luckily this hasnt happened for a while due to medication. Good luck with everything sorry l couldnt help you further. x

I have temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE) that still has not been fully controlled after a full year on various types and combinations of AED's. Don't know if I would characterize my seizures as non stop. However, if you include the full "cycle" of one of my seizures, which can include disorientation, fuzziness, blankly staring into space, deja vu feelings, vision distortion, numbness along side of head/jaw line and pressure headaches, they can take up significant portions of the day.

Even though I've read that TLE can be difficult to treat, I waited too long to press my neuro for answers and will be consulting with a specialist. My dr. is a nice lady but she handles a whole variety of neuro issues and I sometimes get the feeling I'm being prescribed the AED from the pharma salesman who has the best sales pitch. My advice is to find a neuro whose has significant experience treating TLE patients. Good luck.

Hi, the seizures or what I thought were the auras are identical to what you get, even the neck pain! I take Lamictal but I just had a blood test yesterday for the levels. The Doc is thinking they might be low. I also started working 10hour days so I think that is too much stress so I probably won't do that for much longer. I do get the auras for hours also. Usually it is if I forget to take the seizure med or Xanax which for some reason I do need for the Epilepsy. I did get an EEG done and do have the "spikes" in many different places. Hopefully you can get the proper medication and it will take it away!! I know it's a scary feeling, especially when I'm at work. My legs also start to get weak after a while.
