I posted before but didnt get much response so thought I would try again. I had foot surgery in November and am quite frustrated with the after effects. As a reminder I had 3 surgeries on the same foot on the same day.... a hammertoe (toe shortening and fusion), an oseotomy and a Morton's neuroma. I am starting to think that I have just traded the prior surgery pain with a different post surgery pain, not to mention major toe numbness, floppy toe and now a burning sensation that radiates from my toes through my foot and up into my calf. This burning/pain has even been waking me up a night. I still have some swelling as well.
I can wear most shoes, and even can work out as long as I dont push off from the front of the foot. But obviously am far from normal. Any thoughts/suggestions??

Are you saying the problem is with the neurectomy only? Not sure if some of these symptoms are with the other toes. Anyway, the area between the toes where the neuroma was removed (I am assuming you had it removed, not decompressed) will always be numb. They should have told you that up front. The nerve ending is gone so there is no way to have feeling. As for the rest, I didn't have any of that happen with my neurectomy. It was about a year before I never felt the slightest twinge when walking, jogging or dancing. This far out you should not be experiencing any consistent issues.
