Has anyone ever used one. I have had hard acrylic splints but now my cranial osteopath told my tmj dentist to make me a soft lower gel splint. Just wondering if anyone used one and what it felt like. TIA.

I actually wear what's called an "Aqualizer" during the day. Its on top and it fits in between my molars and prevents me from "clenching." And then I wear an acrylic one at night. Neither one is helping me. I am still on pain meds around the clock and on a soft/liquid diet. I am sick of all dentist/doctors/oral specialists. No one knows what to do with me and I am tired of it quit frankly. I've also been to head and pain specialists, ers, you name it. Im still "looking" for an answer. But the gel splint has helped me keep my mouth open and allow space in between my molars. I hope it helps you. I wear it, but am still in pain. I figure its better than nothing. Hope it helps...take care

Thank you, mine fits on my lower back partial but my bite is still unbalanced. Your story sounds about like mine, I'm on my third tmj dentist, second osteopath, neurologist, pt, pain meds, soft diet and still in pain- 3 years here.
I am now seeing a neuro sx this Thurs to see if theres maybe a nerve pinched in my neck.
