A year ago I underwent Right Anterior Temporal Lobectomy, which Thank God went so well.. I did my one year post surgery neuro-spych evaluation last week, and the spych told me I did so much better than pre-surgery eval. i improved in the memory, left hand movements, speech and vocabulary. She was surprised but said my sclerosis (dead tissue, due to head injury) was surpressing my left side so I had bad memory. Now Im so happy to report it's all better and I feel better after a year post-surgery. I klnow many here plan to undergo, or underwent surgery, and others are doing your neuro-spych now, so this is to show that surgery does help improve memory and strengthens other areas of the brain that were not functioning right. I even started teaching again, and I feel wonderful :D I wish you all the best....
