I am not sure what is going on with my ears but I cannot stand sound, it is like fingernails on a chalkboard, even my own voice drives my ears nuts.I just want to put my hands over my ears to block out the sound

I tried putting cotton in my ears and the sound of the cotton touching my ear just about sent me through the roof, I screamed because the sound was so awful.

Anyone else have this?

We are all battling ear problems here. Not sure if you have other symptoms but you should read all the other posts here and under hearing disorders and see if any of our problems are your problems. Unfortunately many of us here have not found relief from our problems so we may not be able to help much with yours. I wish you well in this troublesome battle. I have been battling my problems now for almost 11 months. Been to more Drs than I can count and I lost track of all the medications I have been on. Basically I have tinnitis, the feeling of water in my left ear, I hear my voice in my ear and head instead of on the outside. When I talk my voice vibrates in my head. When I put my teeth together it sounds like I have a microphone to my teeth. Everything is amplified :(
