Hi. I have questions to those of you on Restasis. I know it says to hold the corners of your eyes for 1-2 minutes so the drops stay in your eyes longer. How many of you do this every time and how important is that? Also, do any of you re-use the vile twice or even 3X? One more: has anyone went from using the Restasis twice a day to just one time and you're doing fine? Thank you! :)

I've been holding the corners of my eyes for these last 2 months but that drives me crazy, although it's something simple. I had heard to close your eyes also to get more medicine in your eye. I was just wondering about the effects of the medicine with just putting the drops in your eyes like regular eye drops.....no shutting your eyes or holding the corners??

An eye MD. online has said to use the vials for a least 6 months before trying to go to once a day.

When I went on Restasis, my doc gave me a sample kit that had a little holder for the vial and a pouch that holds the prescription container. The holder works great to keep the vial upright until the next dose. I have a relative who had a doc tell her to put the vial in the fridge between uses. The cold eye drops feel good when they are put in.
