Hi Everyone

I am new here, joined last night.

I suffer from anxiety and have ever since I can remember. At the moment it is at its peak because I started a new job 3 weeks ago and I am not getting the proper training and this is stressing me out cause I don't think I am able to grasp the job.

I feel like I go to bed and all I do is kinda sleep but think/dream about work all night long. I wake up early with an upset stomach and have to go to the toilet :( I worry about it ALL THE TIME!

The biggest problem is that the girl who is "supposed" to be training me only comes in 2 days per week and when she is there she does nothing and tells me nothing. I went to see her and said that I didn't think I was getting the job and she said "what do you want me to do about it" so I am going to see the boss and work out the best solution.

Besides this I am normally ok. Have the general worries and sometimes irrational worries (like if I dont turn off all the power points in the house before I leave the house could burn down)

Thank you for reading all of this. I really need an ear at the moment.

Take care

Snowflake

Hi
Your main present worry seems to be 'making it' at your new job with someone who is not properly training you? It looks like you're doing the right thing with asking the boss for help, especially since this person doing the training isn't in that much.
My son has anxiety and what I always tell him is, "what's the worst thing that could happen?"
You're doing the right thing. Try some breathing exercises when you feel the stress coming on. I've been trying for years to have my son try yoga and/or meditation to help the anxiety.
Hang in there:angel:
