Hello! I am a 17 year old girl, about 120lbs and 5'3. Pretty average.

Anyways, My grandma and my aunt are both type 2 diabetics and my sister is hypoglycemic. Within the past couple of months, I have started sweating excessively. No matter how often I put on antiperspirant, I'll have sweat running down my arms, it's pretty gross. I've changed deodorants 3 times. I get really dizzy out of nowhere. I'm constantly thirsty. My toes, fingers, and nose are always freezing cold. My muscles are usually really sore, especially my ankles. For about a year, right around 10:00 am, I get really bad stomach cramps that practically debilitate me for about 5 minutes, then they go away and I'm fine. I was diagnosed with tendonitis in september, but I'm not sure if i really have it.

I was tested for diabetes as a child, and I didn't have it, and a few years ago, my parents thought I was hypoglycemic, but I wasn't tested. I have bad concentration problems, almost to the point of ADD, but not quite. I'm bipolar and depressive with anxiety problems.

I'm testing my blood sugar within the next couple of weeks, but should I be worried? I don't really know much about diabetes or hypoglycemia, but the sweating and thirst are my biggest concerns right now. Could I just be dehydrated?

Don't worry---do something. WAlmart has a meter for $8.88 and the strips are less than $30. Take a reading first thing in the morning and before meals. Keep a journal of what you eat. A week of numbers and you will know is a doctors appt is needed.
You want to see numbers between 85-120. and don't FREAK if they are higher. If they are lower--drink some juice or eat fruit or something real surgary. LOW or HIGH call the doctor. Calm down/
