Hi

I need advice, My girlfriend passed away in October 2007. She was HIV positive but my tests came back negative. The last time we tested was in July 2007 and she just had a baby.

I am worried about my baby. When is the right time to get her tested and what precautions do I take to make sure she doesn't fall ill? I am also suffering from Arthritis and I always wondered if it had to do with HIV.

I haven't gone for another test because they advised me that it's not necessary as me and my girlfriend were not sexualy active for about eight months before we went for the tests

Your advice will be highly appreciated!

hi i'm a hiv- woman my boyfriend is hiv+ me and my boyfriend never used protection untel we found out he was hiv positive because we never use protection i was sure that i had , but because of god's grace and mercy i have tested three time negative in the pass four years. i'm telling you this because i don't think you need to be tested but if it will reasure you you should do it. As for your baby i would think that she would be tested right after she was born and again in 6 months. with the new meds most hiv+ people can have healthy hiv- babys. i wish you all the best god bless.
