Hi,
Well I had my surgery this morning and everything went well. I was treated very well. I was fine until I walked into the hospital, then I got a bit nervous. Once they got my IV going an gave me a little versed I was fine. Anesthesiologist was joking with me and he had a very calming bed side manner. I got there at 6:15 and its 10am and I am already home. I dont remember a thing! Hubby went to get my pain meds, she gave me 2 different things to take and she wants me to take both right away even though I still have the block so it will be in my system, Im already starting to feel a little bit in my foot. Im surprised at the size of the dang bandage, it barely fits into a cast shoe! She said the tumor was quite big but came off my bone very easily and she was able to close it almost completely. Other than my foot being numb I cant even tell I had anesthesia! I definately didnt need to be getting so anxious about it.

Almost had to cancel though because my husband got horribly sick last night and we were at the emergency room until almost 2 am. So I never got to eat my supper or take my xanax so I was starving and a little anxious because we were stuck there for hours. He has a seizure disorder and one of his seizure meds was too high in his blood , he couldnt see, or walk because he was constantly dizzy and throwing up. Thankfully he is feeling a lot better today.

Thanks for all the support! Memar I hope your having a a good day pain wise today.

Thanks! Hubby is doing better. I'm ok, not going far from the bed or the couch. Pain finally hit me last night but she has me on 2 different meds and they are helping, taking one every 4 hours, tried to go a little longer this morning but couldnt do it. Ice and elevation do help. Hospital called to check on me this morning and the surgeon called a little while ago to, nice to know people check up on you. I don't like the crutches, feel quite clumbsy so going real slow so I don't fall, hopefully I can ditch them in a day or 2. Initially didnt think I would need them as I can bear weight as tolerated ..just a little too painful for full weight right now.
