Is temporal lobe epilepsy inherited?? My mil has it and my dd2 is being tested for epilepsy.
My dd2 had her EEG last Wed. I was told results would be in the office in three days. I called Friday hoping they were in and they werent. Well today I never heard from the office and I called. Well the dr hasnt had a chance to look at them since its been a hetic day. But she would have him look at them first thing in the morning and call me. She did mention that she doesnt know how to read them but it says that there was remarkable results while awake. Then at the bottom it states that even if there was seizures EEG results can come back normal. So what does remarkable results mean in this case?
I was already worried about the result and now even more so.
Her last EEG was normal. This EEG was done different at the start. They had her blow on a small pinwheel at the start where she was acting really weird and had a mini episode like similar to the ones she had at home. But much shorter so I wasnt sure if it was a seizure.
She is 4 so I am trying to get alot of info. She has some spots on the white matter of her brain but that is something different. The dr said since the damage in on the white matter it would not make her have seizures.
