i decided to shave my pubic hair for whatever reason. a day or so later i got some little red bumps(ingrown hairs i think?). i tried tweezing and poping them. pus came out but afer a few days of that they didnt get better. one of them actually got really bad. its like a huge lump thats grown out and gotten longer. i dont know what to do, im 17 and have a job that doesnt pay a lot so im worried about medical bills. can anyone give me any advice to cure this on my own, tell me what it is, or tell me what a doctor would do and what to expect for a bill?

Just how big is this lump? If it's more than about an inch across, that's not cool.
I'm assuming this is an ingrown hair that's gotten particularly bad for some reason. You could try draining it again and putting some bactine or hydrogen peroxide or another wound disinfectant on it. Sterilize the tweezers in hot water before you try to pull the hair out, and wash and re-disinfect the area every time you use the bathroom. Change underwear often, loose boxers might be best. If it keeps getting worse, or if the whole area swells up, a doctor could prescribe antibiotics.
Also, an acne medicine with salicylate in it might take the swelling down.
On any other part of the body, I'd suggest very hot compresses, as hot as you can take without actually getting burns. It was my mother's favorite cure for any sort of skin infection, hurt like getting stabbed, but it worked. That area is a bit heat-sensitive, though.

sounds like you have a folliculitis now with a prominent faruncle
not uncommon to see inflammation post shaving as it can locally damage hair follicle allowing bacteria to "infect" the follicle, giving you the initial small perifollicular rash(red spot centered around the hair follicles which "leaked" pus) and then after squeezing the lesions, you likely allowed bacteria to spread to the surrounding tissue giving you a "faruncle"/small abscess
it sounds like the lesion needs to be drained ... whether you should do that on your own -- I'm not going to suggest that anyone does, because there always the risk of worsening the infection or causing it to spread deeper, but many people do ... you can always go to the ER or urgent care or your PCP(especially if they are an FP and internist may not do an I&D - incision and drainage), and they can do the drainage and place and antibiotic wick if they feel it's warranted
about the salicylic acid, unlikely going to help much at this late in the game, it works for acne because it help the superficial epidermis slough(fall) off and clear out pores/make room for new cell growth ... what you describe is way past just a simple clogged poor
warm compresses might work though, just to "encourage" the faruncle to drain .. just remember to not apply hot pads/heat packs directly to the skin always have some sort of clothe barrier to prevent yourself from being burned
NSAIDs, like ibuprofen might provide an anti-inflammatory effect that could help if it's painful, but in the end, it sounds like this is going to enlarge and your gonna need an MD to incise and drains this +/- antibiotics ... in the end, your best bet may be to see your PCP/pediatrician, can't hurt to get his/her opinion
anyways, best of luck
