I have had this problem for a while now. The bottoms of my feet (the tender arch area) itch and burn for no apparent reason. There is no rash, no redness of any kind. just itchy feet. If I were to scratch it, it then goes into hyper mode and I have to turn on the bath water and soak them in very hot water. If I try to ignore the itch and apply pressure by using my leg, a pillow, carpet, anything just pressure it eventually subsides.
Any ideas????

Could you be allergic to something?? I had a similar problem. It turned out I was allergic to Tide laundry detergent. I know, sounds odd, but when I stopped using it the itching went away.
Are you using new lotion, detergent, soap or shampoo, cleaner in the shower, dryer sheets?? Anything like that? You don't necessarily have to have a reaction all over your body when you are allergic. My son has allergies to certain liquid softners that I have used in the laundry and only broke out on a rash on his belly....
And all those new "natural" type detergents cause problems for us...had to go back to generic brands.
