I've been on this for years, and have come to discover I suffer two of the well-known side effects know of this drug.... Hampered sex drive/Inability to orgasm during sex and weight gain/difficulty losing weight.

I tried to overlook these but now I'm to the point I cannot anymore. The Effexor works great for anxiety/depression I have but the side effects are really messing with my life. I read up and found Wellbutrin was good for both weight loss and sex drive, sounded perfect. I tried it and was suicidal within two days.

I am a but desperate. A nurse has told me perhaps Lexapro would be my ticket. Any thoughts/users of this or people who have used both? At worst maybe I could take the Wellbutrin with the Effexor as Ive heard sometimes it's used to counteract side effects like these from other depression/anxiety meds?

For note, I have been as high as 225mg, but had weaned down to 75. I thene xperienced a bad time and am back up to 150 daily. Maybe something like a 75 Effexor XR and 75 Wellbutrin slow release will work?

Any insight here is welcome. I will be visiting the doctor soon, but I want to hear from people who have used and experienced these drugs and their effects/

Thansk in advance,

Stew.

I've heard outstanding things about Lexapro. Many people have found that they have very few side effects from it. It seems to be the success drug for many folks who've had bad side effects with other SSRI's. Of course, it's stilll an individual thing, but I've just heard a lot of great things about Lexapro. I would love to try it; unfortunately, my insurance doesn't cover it.

Sorry, I've got no experience with Wellbutrin. And Effexor didn't agree with me at all.
