I would appreciate any thoughts from you guys on the board!!

I have suffered from headaches on and off for like 30 years...I am 58!!

You'd think they'd let up, right? Wrong! Anyway, recently, about 8 months ago my Dr. changed me from Elevil to 100 mg. of Topamax, and Cymbalta daily. I have mild depression and I think some aniexty along with the recent breakthrough headache. My anxiety and depression come from mother with Alzheimer's for 14 year's and daughter with seizures...gets me down. The topamax seemed to be doing pretty well with no side effects so he has upped the dose by 25mg. daily. He gave me a shot for the headache not for severity of pain...its like a 3-4 on 10, but duration had been 4 days after 7 days pain 2-3 gave me another shot to try and braek it up doesn't seem to work...not sure why??? To much tension or worry or what?? My wife says you got to give it a few days to work?? Anyobne had this experience...it's not the pain...its just the duration and the shots really have not worked? Before I was using Botox which worked beatifully but my new insurance company does not cover and it costs $2000 per treatment!!!

Thanks for any thoughts and info..

Best,

Duke

This is simple and worth a try -

Combining 2 Advil and 2 Percogesic can realy be a great combination - Percogesic is a low dose of acetaminophen together witn an antihistamine that has some tranquilising and muscle relaxant properties.... it is safe to use them together, and the combo is more effective than either alone.

Rubbing some Tiger Balm into your neck and temples, and seeing a physiotherapist for a stretching and excersise regime can be very helpful
