Hi All,
My DD is nearly 10 months old and such a happy wonderful baby...we've just been having the problem with her getting kidney infections. At the beginning of March (nearly 8 months old) she had a severe kidney infection...had lots of tests done all came back just fine. Doctors said it was a fluke...then Last night she woke up at midnight with a 104 fever (out of the blue...at 9pm when she went to bed no fever, nothing). Went to the doc early this morning, another severe kidney infection...was given antibiotics and sent on my way. My question is, has anybody else dealt with this? The doctors said it "just happens." but I wonder if there's something my DH and I could do/should do to help prevent them (or something that we're doing that we should stop doing...)...when my mom was younger she had frequent kidney infections as well, so I know it's not uncommon, but it's so hard to see her SO MISERABLE...with a fever that keeps going up and up (that scares me for seizures)...plus, I worry when it's things that deal with her kidneys...
Just curious,
Sarah
