I have a problem that started last saturday. I was in the middle of having sex and all of the sudden I felt a rush of pain in the back of my head (on the left side behind my ear).

The pain was intense enough to cause me to stop having sex and lay in the bed. The pain was in sync with my heart which told me it could be a vein. I contacted my doctor and went in to have my blood pressure checked. He said everything was fine that I probably over did it.

I'm 40 years old and this has never happened. I once again tried to have sex last night and the same thing happened. I took some asperin and the pain went away. This morning that side of my head is sore.

anyone have a clue?

That sounds terrifying.

Does the same thing happen if you masturbate or is it just core sex that does it?

Either way though, I'd get a second opinion, particularly since it's happened more than once.

Having had a head injury at one time, head issues scare the hell out of me. I would go to a neurologist just in case in is an aneurisim. Any chance it is an ear infection?

I'm having a MRI on Monday. I'm anxious to figure out what is wrong. It's driving me crazy!!

My MRI results came back negative. Everything looks fine, the mouse is still running around the wheel.

He changed my antibiodic to an oral "Nystatin" and "Grifulvin" to see if its a fungal infection.

The previous antibiodic was for bacterial infection.

The pains in my head have stopped completely.

what is the antibiotic for? I don't think you mentioned that earlier.
