Brief History:
50 yo male
6ft 197lbs
TSH 1/2008 4.42 The PCP started 50mg synthoid. TSH is now 1.27
I have EVERY symptom of low T. The symptoms started about 7 years ago.
I taken 8 different anti-depressants none of them have made a difference.
The ED get worse by the month.

I went to a endo 2 weeks ago and he ordered a fasting TSH and TT. The TSH was 1.27 the TT is 267. I had an office visit on 5/5 and the dr said the TT was normal. From everything I've read it appears that I have low T.

Does anyone have suggestions or comments? Does anyone know of a DR in the St. Louis area that knows about low T??

Any help would be appreciated.

You definitely suffer from low T. Not only is your T at the low end of the range but you have symptoms of low T. Plus the range includes all men even those 100 years old. I can't tell you how many men who have low T are on anti-depressants. Most likely getting your T up to par will resolve the depression issue and you can flush those meds down the toilet. Plus they make ED worse.

Sorry, I don't know a doctor in that area. The closes one I know is Dr. Crisler in Lansing MI. It is hard to find doctors good at this. If you want to save a lot of time I would just travel to see him or find a dcotor that will work with him. He will consult with your doctor if yours is willing.
