Hi everyone. I really hate to barge in and bother you all but I have a question. I am 24 years old and for quite some time now I have been getting burning sensations in my left breast only. About a year ago, the dr found a lump and ordered me to have an ultrasound. The u/s was normal but I am still having the burning pain. They did say that I have very dense breast and possibly fibrocystic. Should I be concerned that this pain could be cancer related? Thanks for your replies.

Hi Heather,
Ultrasounds are not fool proof. I also have very dense breast tissue and that made it hard to detect my lump on a Mammogram or an ultrasound. Do you still have the lump?
If you are still having pain, that isn't normal. A biopsy can be done or even an MRI just to be safe.
Take Care,

I wouldn't necessarily say you need to worry, but you should insist that they look further into this. A breast mri would give more detail. I've learned over the past year that we need to be our own best advocates when it comes to our health.
