We are trying to do one more IVF after having a poor response in January and only one embryo to transfer and no resulting pregnancy. We are switching doctors too. I wonder if at my age, etc. I should not have had Lupron suppression at all in Jan. but should have gone to a cycle without suppression first. In any event, just got the new workups and my FSH is higher now than 8 months ago--back then is was low 10 and now it's 12 on Day 10 of CCCT. It seems weird to to go up two points so quickly and back then I was only doing acupuncture, now I'm doing that plus chinese herbs, plus trying to drink wheat grass and I'm not drinking alcohol AT ALL and no spicy food (? from the herbalist who is a doctor too, seems weird, but what the heck?). I guess I'm just old. I hope we can get the insurance company to cover one more IVF and see what happens. Marching forward for the moment.

I have recently gone through IVF (1st attempt) and failed to produced any viable eggs. I am really worried as I am 38 going on 39 and have been trying (naturally) for a baby for over 4 years. I feel so disheartened as I really tought I had a chance. I was on suprefact and gonal f but only managed to produce 3 follicles in my left ovary but none on my right. Only one egg was retrieved, however it was not mature enough, therefore fertilization could not take place. I was so disappointed as I have watched my follicle grow steadily to a good size (20) in 12 days, The other 2 follicles also grew steadily but were a bit smaller at 15. I had a good feeling about follicle number 1 and even named it........how naive!!!. I was on gonal f for 14 days and had 2 shots of ovarielle to mature the eggs. So I guess my ovaries are poor responsers which is quite distressing. I was going to give up but my doctor mentioned that cycles can vary and I may produce more follicles on my second attempt. He advised that he will give me less medication to suppress my ovaries and start on a higher dose of gonal f. I hope all goes well for you. Don't give up.

p.s do you recommend acupuncture?? have you noticed a difference
