I'm a 17 year old female. My only prescription is for acne and once I realized how quickly I was losing hair, I stopped to see if that was the reason; it isn't the reason. I have had 6 knee surgeries and I had a staff infection in my knee. I have noticed that ever since my surgeries, my hair has been thinning out. I don't know if this is because of stress levels. But my hair grew back a little bit, but it is still no where near the real length of my hair. In some spots, it hasn't grown back at all. I eat fairly well, I avoid any fast food, but I do drink soda.

Does anyone have any ideas what I can do?

You are right stress from surgey or stress in general can cause hair loss..however patchy hair loss is a sign of a condition known as alopecia maybe you should visit <YOUR> doc and explain this to him there may be a simple explaination or treatment..my suggestion is to relax and try a cosmetic vitamin such as perfectil which should be at the pharmacy perscription free.
