Hi all, Havent checked in in awhile BUT been good about taking all those supplements... Would love to know if they are working especially after today...Took a giant slip at work and landed square on my tailbone and needles to say it really hurts...Waiting for results of xrays...
Anyway, was talking to another lady at school today and she was given miacaicin for osteoporosis and no side effects and her bone mass has increased significantly. Its a nasal spray. Anyone heard of this or tried it??? Thanks..

I take it because I couldn't tolerate actonal. The brand I use is Fortical. I have had no problems with it. I haven't had another scan since my osteroporosis diagnosis

I don't know when I will get to have another scan. I have an HMO now and they are more restrictive. It has only been about 18 months since my diagnosis. I dont know what I would do if the osteroporosis was getting worse. Amgen has a new osteroporosis drug coming out but not for at least another year.

Years ago, I used that nasal spray. A second bone density test two years later showed no improvement in my case. I'm sure, however, that everyone responds differently to these medications.

Hopefully, you will see good results.
