I was prescribed 25mg Clomid for seven nights. Unfortuantely, I had severe side effects from the drug and had to quit after 3 days.

Blood was drawn on the 5th day and here are my before and after results.

Post Clomid Test -- 30yr old male

Testosterone, Serum Total --> 559 ng/DL (241-827)
LH-------------------------->3.1 mIU/mL (1.5-9.3)
FSH------------------------->2.7 mIU/ml (1.4 -18.1)
IGF1 ----- ------------------>183 (117-329)
Prolactin -------------------->7.3 ng/mL(2.1 -17.7)
DHEA- Sulfate ---------------->341 ug/dl (120-520)
Cortisol ---------------------->22ug/DL (3.1-22.4)
Vitamin D 25 Hydroxy ------->17.7ng/ml (32-100)
SHBG ---------------------->18nmol/L (13-71)
Estradiol, Sensitive ---------->23pg/ml (3-70)

Before the Clomid test

Testosterone, Serum Total -- >314 ng/DL (241-827)
LH-------------------------->2.1 mIU/mL (1.5-9.3)
FSH------------------------->1.8 mIU/ml (1.4 -18.1)
Estradiol -------------------->19pg/ml (3-54)

I will be seeing Dr.Shippen next month. Clomid seems to be working but I can't bear the side effects. I will ask him to put me on a low dose of HCG and see what he says.

Please comment on my blood work.

My chief complaints >> ED, Zero Libido, Fatigue, Totally exhausted after 3PM, Eye Fatigue/discomfort after 3PM (don't wear glasses)

too bad you could not continue the clomid. There may be another similar test he could run if you ask him....maybe with tamoxifen. Otherwise he will probably put you on HCG. I'm sure you're miserable but I would ask him to exhaust every effort to try to restart you if there is any chance. Otherwise you are destined to treatment of some sort for life. But, you are in good hands with him.

On the eye fatigue I wonder if you have dry eye. I have this also and the only thing that works for me is to use eye gel by Genteal daily before bed. It has to be the gel, not the ointment or drops. Give it a try and see if it helps. I have always wondered if my dry eye was hormone related.

I am not 100% sure, but it looks like your LH and FSH barely rose, even though T went up what Dr S would likely deem a modest amount, mostly because the clomid blocks conversion of T to estrogen. Clomid tricks your body into thinking you need more T, meaning your LH and FSH should have risen dramatically. I speak from experience as I had similar results and am now on TRT.
