I had the Leep done at the end of Jan 08 - and I did bleed and used a pad for a good 3 weeks, and then it stopped. I then had my period which was normal in the amount of time it lasted and amount of bleeding. I then skipped my Mar per - not sure why - but Apr came as scheduled and lasted a little bit longer than normal. For me, I did hurt after sex which was 3 weeks of waiting for that - but after a couple of times - it does feel better now to me (thank goodness!!) I hope that this helps to answer your questions. Mel I said it in the other thread, but I am so glad you talked with your doctor and that you feel better after the conversation. I didn't have a LEEP, I had a cold knife cone. They are similar in that they take the same types of samples, but they are different in how and how well the margins are preserved. Perhaps our recoveries are similar. I'll check back later and tell you a bit about mine (though it is becoming quite fuzzy in my memory - I'm in overwhelm).

Mel, I had my CKC on Friday morning, and was out and about on Sunday. I piddled around the apartment on Saturday, but rested frequently. I was find for returning to work on Monday. I bled for 2-3 days, then spotted for 2.5 weeks or so. I was "cleared for entry" (of vaginal canal) after about 17 days.

Thank you for the wishes on the upcoming surgery. I have been having a few very rough days medical and "life" reasons. <sigh> I will have my 2nd cold knife cone on June 17th and the hysterectomy on June 18th. I'm anxious about surgery, but "life" is difficult right now, too. If any one prays, please pray for me and my family. Please pray that God's will be understood and that we have peace with His will. Of course, I always accept prayers for my health!
