Hi,

I was wondering if anyone is taking this med as an abortive?

My doctor recently put me on Propranolol as a preventative to what he thinks is MAV (silent migraine with vertigo) and Zomig as an abortive. I have been on the Propranolol for 5 days and yesterday I got a full blown migraine but no aura or vertigo before or during. I have a history of classic migraines.

Last night I tried the Zomig. I'm not sure how you are suppose to feel with that med but I would like some input on this.

About 10 mins after taking the med my right arm and the right side of my face went numb. My right arm was really heavy. I had muscle spasm feeling near my diaphram. Was a horrible feeling. I was very restless could not get comfortable. I was by myself lying there trying to decide what to do and I guess I fell asleep. This morning the headache is still there but mild.

The numbing in my face is not a new symptom but it seemed to get worse on the med. I do have med sensativities.

I'm wondering if anyone is taking this med ever have a reaction or a feeling like this?

Never mind...called the nurse. Was told not to take the med again.
