can you guys clarify the tingling symptoms?i think i am having them. i will get a tingling sensation for a second or so in random places..bottom of foot is a common place. anyhow i went to a dr today who said that my tingling is not consistent with herpes tingling. he said that herpes tingling represents where an outbreak is going to occur and that the area continually tingles until the virus reaches the skin and forms the blister. in my case i have had tingling in places where a blister hasnt appeared, and they are extremely short like i said. what are all of your tinglings like?

My tingling feels like I can actually feel the blister filling up with pus. (Sorry, I know that's gross, but that's what it feels like.) It is a tickling, tingling itch, if that makes sense. And yes, it lasts for several seconds to a minute at a stretch and then very soon after, starts again. It lasts intermittently like that for several days. There's also a feeling of pressure and achiness, as the blister area swells. This is at the top of my buttocks so it get aggravated when I sit, and since my work involves computers it's a little difficult to avoid. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/frown.gif
Hope that helps.

does anyone here have tingles that last just for an instant? and can they be in any area of the body, or just where a blister is going to appear? I have had felt quick firing tingling sensations in random places over my body.. i tested positive for type one hsv antibodies but this one dr ive seen still is skeptical that i have genital herpes..though im pretty sure i do ..so looks like ill have to wait to see if another lesion in that area appears so it can be cultured.

Talking about tingling... I've had non stop tingling in my testicals over the last two days now... and today ( a few hours ago) a pink rash ( not itchy or painful) has developed on the back of my hands and on my arms...
Any ideas?

i dont know, do you think its in your head that you feel it? maybe just becuase you tested positive you its all in your head.
from my understanding, you body should ack and the tingling should be where it would be developed...
As for me, I dont know if I have herpes or not, I feel like i have a chafe every once in a while, but I think Ive always had that even before I had even had sex...
But yeah, maybe somebody else could tell you what it should feel like
take care
