Went to the DR to get help with my hormones and sex drive problems. I have no sex drive... She put me back on premarin 0.625 and cream 0.625/
She told me the no sex drive was all in my mind....I am so not happy. I asked her if she had her overies. I then told her well I dont annd I know i need them to have a sex drive.... what if anything is out there that would help...

It does sound like your doctor is ignorant. Yes, changes in hormones can affect our sex drive. I hope that the Premarin and progesterone cream help. :angel:

Believe it or not, you should have your testosterone levels done. We do have testosterone (much lower than men) but it is what affects our sex drive, just like the guys. You can get testosterone replacement, just like estrogen replacement. I would definitely check it out, but with another doc. How can she call herself a woman? I thought it was only old school male docs that had that "it's all in your head" misconception. Take care and good luck.

WOW I am sorry! She actually said it was all in your head? Gosh I thought doctors wouldn't want to show their ignorance by saying such a thing ...unless she is an old doc. I don't have anything more to offer more than what others have already said...and I seriously agree you need to find another doctor.

I always have to add a reply when I hear of doctors saying things like this. What an idiot!!! Please don't go back. You don't want someone like this in charge of your health care.
