Thanks TG! This study was actually first released back in November 2002 (Oops--just checked, it was September 27/02) and the findings are very impressive. Valaciclovir, the drug mentioned in the article, is the generic name of Valtrex. It's interesting that Dr. Torres (who gave the presentation) was addressing a meeting of dermatologists. I think it's been discussed here on this board recently about whether dermatologists ever get herpes patients. This would seem to confirm that they do. Thanks for passing this on. It's good to know the word about this is still getting out there.
