This study was actually first released back in November 2002 (Oops--just checked, it was September 27/02) and the findings are very impressive. Valaciclovir, the drug mentioned in the article, is the generic name of Valtrex. It's interesting that Dr. Torres (who gave the presentation) was addressing a meeting of dermatologists. I think it's been discussed here on this board recently about whether dermatologists ever get herpes patients. This would seem to confirm that they do. Thanks for passing this on.
