Yesterday, after taking a shower, I used a Q-Tip to clean out my left ear, and I guess I might have pushed some of the Wax back into my Ear. Because it felt like my Ear was stuffed up, you know, like say you were swimming and you get water in your ears, you have that stuffed up feeling in your ears. This was around the middle of the afternoon, and it didn't clear up, so it wasn't water, and it must've been the Ear Wax instead. I tried another Q-Tip, but nothing really helped. I then decided to try some Ear Drops from my mother. I left the drops in my ear for about 20 minutes or so, and then stopped since I had prior obligations. After that, it felt like my ear was trying to "unclog" itself, but it "clogged back up" again. I then went to sleep, hoping it would just go away.

When I woke up, I still had the problem, and did some research online and I guess the closest thing that might be the same problem I have is a Blocked Eustacian Tube. A friend of mine last night suggested I may have to go to a Doctor to get my Ear Flushed. A few minutes ago, I tried the Q-Tip one more time, to see if I can get some of the Wax out, and I managed to get a little, and now my ear feels a whole lot better. I still feel a small trace of the Wax in my ear though, but I don't have that constant feeling of stuffiness in my ear. However, now I hear a little ringing in my ear, and I don't know if maybe it's just a side effect from my ear being relieved, or what. Is this a common thing and will it go away after a while? And should I also consult a doctor?

Just thought I'd give an update. I still have the ringing noise in my Left Ear. I thought maybe I still had some wax left in the ear, and a friend of mine suggested I take some Claritin D or something to help decongest it. While we were at the pharmacy earlier today though, my mom noticed some small "bumps" on my ear. She claims I have 3 of them, and my left ear is a little red. I've also been having a small fever as well. However, it's not constant. I had one yesterday evening and another just started up about a couple of hours ago. Is this a sign of Infection? And could the infection also be causing the small ringing noise in my ear? We're planning on going to the doctor later tonight at a hospital or tomorrow to get it checked out, but I want to see if anyone here might be able to help.

Well I hope this clears up soon for you, as I know it is not any fun. I would recommend never using Q-tip, all it does really is push wax further down the ear. I use a little plastic tool made for clearing the wax out (kinda has a small round end) and is made to not push in to far. I used to have my ear flushed once a year but not since using this tool. Sorry but don't really know about the ringing sound you are having. Take care.

Yeah, I just came back from the Hospital. The Doctor took a look at it and told me I have some Wax close to my Ear Drum, and it's causing some kind of interference with the Vibrations, hence why I might have that Ringing noise. Since the Wax is too close, he couldn't do anything, so he prescribed me some Ear Drops to help dissolve the Wax.

Well I sure hope that helps, but in the think about finding that little tool to clean out your ear instead of a q-tip. I think it is called a ototek loop. Take care

I have another problem, this time however it's with the Ear Wax Drops. I used the Drops, and after using them, it says on the box to use a Rubber Bulb Syringe and warm water to rinse out any remaining wax after use. I use the Syringe to put the water in, and gently rinse my ear. But I don't think it's fully removing the Drop Solution from my ear. I've noticed that throughout the day, my ear would feel sort of strange, and it would be because I still have the Ear Drop Solution slowly coming out of my ear. I don't know if I'm not rinsing it properly, or what.

Also, a friend of mine told me that it might take some time for my ears to re-adjust itself after I'm healed. I don't know how long this takes, so does anyone know what the average re-adjustment time is? I just don't want to confuse re-adjustments to another ear problem.

It is still possible you have more wax deep inside the canal. Sometimes it can take a few days for my ears to adjust to a flushing but usually just a few hours.
