Ok, here is the deal, I've been married now for 6 years, and positive my husband has been faithful, but since i've known him, he gets these episodes where he will get a few sores on his penis, they are blisters and then they bust and turn into a crusty spot and go away. It happens mainly in hot weather and i've never had any problems at all like that. We both have been tested for STD's (mine with my yearly pap). He's never been diagnosed with anything. It also gets where his penis has laid on his lower abdomin. Anyone have any idea what this could be? I'm not really worried because i have had no symtoms from it in the 12 years we have been together.

Hi Cweaz,
I'm not sure a test for herpes is always part of a standard range of STD tests. You're obviously wondering about herpes, and to find this out for sure he'd need to get a *type-specific* blood test for herpes. See if his doc has any record of having done this kind of test.
Has his doctor seen these things? If the herpes test comes back negative, be sure he gets in to see his doc when the symptoms are present. It's obviously *something* and should probably be checked out. It could be trivial or it could be something that should be treated. Best to find out.
Good luck! Let us know how you make out.
