I am 42yr old female/unexplained fertility/advanced maternal age (makes me sound so old, just had a birthday on Sunday). DH and I have all the test, had two cycles of iui w/ clomid, when it didnt work i made an appt with doctor to move to injectibles. Due to scheduling this month we were on our own, fine i decided to focus on my health lose about ten pounds and become closer friends w/ my treadmill. of course i still tracked my ovulation and DH and i did the do, now its 8 days past ovulation and have had slight cramping today, almost like a menstraul but its way too soon for it to be AF, my boobs are not terribly sore, but itchy and sensitive. I know its way to soon to be giving this much thought, but wouldnt it be great to get pos HPT on next Tuesday. I had a bout with nausea for a few seconds, it too early for that too isnt it. :D;)

I pray this is it for you! I don't think that 8 DPO is too early to be having symptoms...I began having several symptoms myself and know that I am only a few DPO. I have been getting faint positive lines on my pregnancy tests. I pray that it is God's will that this will be your month to be pregnant and to go on to have a healthy child! Please continue to keep us all updated! Sincerely, Tam

I'm also doing natural cycles, trying for baby #2. My Dh and I were told our chances to conceive on our own were very low, so we did 3 IVF cycles in '06 and actually did get pg. Our daughter just turned one and I think I may be pg again. I'm about 13dpo today and tomorrow is CD28. I'm not sure but I have also had some symptoms like sore boobs, light headedness and cramping that I've had since a week past O...so to make a long post short, I don't think it's too early to have signs! I wish you all the best and hope we both get our bfps! Wouldn't it be incredibly ironic to get pg the "old fashioned way" after going through so much with less conventional methods?;)
Good luck!!

I have an update...I tested with two different brand pregnancy tests yesterday (with my second morning urine) and got two faint positives within the time limit! According to my calendar, I am CD 21 or CD 22. I am due for my cycle next week. I am planning on trying to test each day, with my first morning urine! I will be sure to keep everyone updated, and please keep those prayers coming! Sincerely, Tam

I have completely different feeling before AF, usually follicle developement pain in groin and leg pain. Put i'm trying not to put too much thought into this, if the syptoms increase are at least still present i may test this weekend. I hate to test because bpn is always a bummer.

AF is sooooo tricky - now my symptoms are more like AF sypmtoms, tightening in my legs and pain in lower back, still have elevated temp, but i can tell by symptoms AF will be here by Sat - Sun at the latest.
As much as you try not to read into systems during your wait, its still so heart breaking to see AF show her head month after month.

Today, i did what i said i would not do this time, i brought a EPT, now i'm sitting here looking at it like its a two headed snake. I thought my cycle would come early since i 'O' early, but it will be 14 days since 'O' on Monday. My only symptom is my breast feel a little sore but not the nipple but the sides of my breast. if AF has not showed by Sunday maybe i will test. I said this before but i will say it again, i hate to test, the bfn drives me insane. I guess i always will until the day i get the bfp.
On Wed, dh and i go for consultation w/ RE, we were thinking about doing one more iui w/ injectables, but we have since talked and now want to look into trying ivf. My insurance does not cover this, so we will have to pay, and most likely will only get one shot because of the cost of ivf. with my being 42 the odds are not in our favor but i couldn't live w/ myself if i did not give having a baby my all.

 BFN..... but im looking forward to appt w/ RE, if ivf is our choice then we are going to do a chromosome test to rule out abnormalties; at least then i wont have that to worry about when we conceive. We are military and my physican does give us 50% discount so thats a blessing.
Thanks for your support ladies and for all of the ladies w/ ivf experience - many questions to follow.
 only one for now. when you started ivf on what day of your cycle did you begin with shot or medication, i guess my question is what was your first step after consultation?

Sorry to hear of your BFN...If I remember correctly, I had to go in on the 3rd day of my cycle to do a blood test and sono to test hormone levels and for cysts and things. Then, I had to start BCP for about a week. Then, lupron for a week, then follistim injections. But everyone is different. Your RE may take a different protocol.

Estella- Im sad to hear about your bfn. I did bcp for 21 days then had af. I had a baseline 2 days into her and started stims that night. I did them for 13 or 14 days I think, the last 2 days of them I also did ganerelix. Then the trigger. I then had a couple of days off before I started PIO the day of transfer. I know everyone's RE is different, but this is what happened with me!
