Never used it but androgel had a sickening sweet smell that I didn't like much. I have read testim had a smell too.

I use it. from what I can tell it just enhanced my own natural smell. instead of people being able to smell me (what cologne are you wearing) standing next to them to being able to smell me coming down a hall way. No one has said I smell bad. (I dont wear cologne or after shave. soon as I start sweating I start smelling like I havn't bathed in 2 weeks. blah!)

I dont smell anything from the gel when I put it on though something in it makes my nose burn until it dryes.

As Bengie notes, the smell of Testim is not that prevelant, especially over time. The bigger issue for me is sticky/drying. Usually, I have to wait about 20 minutes before putting my shirt on and often that doesn't help. Supposedly, Androgel dries faster because it's alcohol based. Still, Testim is consider to be faster absorbing (as opposed to faster drying) and that is why you read of it being the better of the two gels.

the more you rub the faster it drys. I put it on as soon as I get out of the shower (make sure your really dry) then by the time I have brushed my teeth, put my pants and shoes on, and taken my other meds I can put my shirt on. Only time this isn't enough time if I have the ac off in the house and its really humid or I'm sweating a bit then it takes forever to dry.

With me, the more I rub the more I seem to get on my hands:(. On the box, the tip is to rub more vigorously. Still, Testim has been a great product (thus far) for me and the pros definitely outweigh the cons. It still only takes me about 1/4 the time it takes my wife to put her makeup on:D.

So, yes you rub it dry but with me it's a sticky dry.
